I've decided to start a food blog about my foray into cake decorating. I have another blog of general ramblings that I have pretty much abandoned, because, frankly, I suck at keeping up with things if I have no purpose. And I'm a terrible writing. I just can't think of anything funny or interesting enough to blog about. So, I'm going to do this. I'm going to document, step-by-step, my cake adventures. This blog has a purpose. This I can do.
On a whim during the holiday season of 2005 I decided I wanted to try to do a fondant cake. I have no idea why I wanted to. I just seen a box of Wilton fondant in Wal-Mart and thought, I can do that. So I made a standard round cake with a poinsettia on it. Then I was hooked.
